Students show off styles from athletic to formal at annual fashion show

Jan 23, 2022

The red carpets were rolled out, the lights were shining, and Wareham High School’s third annual fashion show was ready to start.

On Thursday, Jan. 20, friends and families gathered in Wareham High School’s cafeteria to see the couture crafted by the Fashion Marketing and Project Management students throughout the first semester.

“There was a lot of work put into this,” said Ava St. Germaine, a junior.

There were a total of 50 students involved from both the Fashion Marketing and Project Management classes. The Fashion Marketing class was in charge of picking out the outfits and models, while the Project Management class was in charge of the logistics of the fashion show.

But the classes didn’t work alone: The fashion show would not have happened without the help of the Wareham DECA Students, students said.

“DECA students volunteer their time for whatever the models need,” said senior DECA president, Chloe Hogan.

Hogan said the students hope to expand the show next year..

“I hope to be back in the auditorium next year,” said Hogan. She also wishes to create more categories and have more student involvement.

“I just want to thank all the students who helped put this all together,” said St. Germaine.

Hogan also thanked DECA Advisor Lisa Cunha, who teaches both of classes.

“She goes above and beyond for everything and all of her students,” said Hogan.
