It was a repeat performance at the 13th annual Gleason Family YMCA 5k in Onset Saturday morning. Both the male and female winners, Erik Gall and Anne Preisig, won the race last year, as well.

"It was a beautiful day to run," said Gall, 24, of Wareham.

Gall's winning time of 18:47 was a bit slower than last year's 17:56. Preisig, 47, of Falmouth, was the first female finisher and was fifth overall with a time of 21:55, a minute and 20 seconds slower than her time from last year.

Gall said he tries to run a lot of local road races. He said he was training for a half marathon last month and maintained his fitness for this race.

"I live right down the road so I try to do this one," he said of the YMCA 5k.

The race started out in between Marc Anthony’s and the Pier View Restaurant on Onset Avenue, and ran in a figure-eight, winding through the streets of Onset Village, finishing in the Onset Pier parking lot.

This year's race had a superhero theme and many bright tights, capes and costumes could be found out on the course. There were 164 entrants in this year's race.
