Authorities confiscated two loaded handguns during a Monday evening raid at an Onset Avenue home, after executing a search warrant obtained due to information posted on a teenager’s social media accounts.

At about 5 p.m., members of the Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council SWAT team and Wareham Police searched a home at 39 Onset Ave., where a loaded .30-caliber, 9-inch handgun and a loaded 9 mm handgun were found, along with two stun guns. Both handguns were high capacity weapons, able to be loaded with 10 or more rounds of ammunition.

According to police, social media posts made by a teenager living in the home came to the attention of school resource officers assigned to Bourne and Wareham schools.

Police said the teenager was not home during the search, but was located and arrested at about 6:30 p.m. later that day in Plymouth.

According to a police, Plymouth Police arrested the teenager on a warrant for possession of a firearm obtained by Wareham officers hours before the search warrant was executed.

During the search, police found a woman at the home. Police said criminal charges, including firearms violations against the woman, will be filed.

Police noted that the investigation is ongoing.
