Swifts Neck Beach reopened to swimming

Swifts Neck Beach is safe to swim at again.

The Wareham Board of Health announced Wednesday evening that the Barnstable County Laboratory tested water samples on Tuesday, Aug. 19 and that all of the samples met the bacterial standards and the beach is now suitable for swimming.

The beach was closed to swimming as of Thursday, Aug. 14 due to high bacteria levels in the water.
