Take an Arctic plunge to save marine life
Event has passed
The National Marine Life Center will host an Arctic plunge at Onset Beach on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 11 a.m.
All proceeds will go directly to the rehabilitation and medical care of injured, sick, and stranded seals and sea turtles at the National Marine Life Center in Bourne.
The Buzzards Bay Coalition is making its facility available for registration and for warming up after the plunge. Hot drinks and snacks will also be available.
Plungers can park on Onset Pier.
In the past several years, the National Marine Life Center has treated an increasing number of Arctic seals, such as harp and hooded seals, that are normally found further north.
