Thanks for making 'A Little Murder with Wine' a success
To the Editor:
On behalf of the Gleason Family YMCA, I want thank all those that attended our event, “A Little Murder with Wine” on Friday, October 19.
The evening would not have been a success without Michele Letourneau directing the cast of the murder mystery.
The cast was made up of Jamie Alves, Jay Gould, Kristen Kelley, Nancy and Peter Havel, Mark Letourneau, and Kimberley Teves. They volunteered many hours to put the show together.
Thanks also goes to the Marinetti Company and Sullivan Liquors for donating the wine and beer. Eden Landscape and Garden Shop provided floral arrangements for the tables.
Other local business that donated to the silent auction and drawing are: Always in Bloom Flower Shop, Karma Salon, The Company Store, Nessralla’s, Eye of the Goddess, Roger’s Gallery, Old Maids Cleaning Products, The Bookstall, Shirt Shack, Bananas, Kool Kone, The Hangman Café, Gateway Tavern, Upper Cut, California Nails, Piper’s Restaurant, the Jug Shop, Minerva’s Pizza, Tri Town Bicycle, COSI, and Anthi Frangiadis.
Jared Tyndall, Matthew Perreira, Mike Bliss, and Seamus McMahon provided music. All the food was donated by the following restaurants and caterers: Artisan Bake Shop, Cape Cod Cannolis, Ella’s Wood Burning Restaurant, Great Hill Blue Cheese, Harriet’s Catering, House of Thai, Matt’s Blackboard, Lindt and Sprungli, Mezza Luna, The Narrow’s Crossing, the Shipyard Galley, Seahorse Seafoods, Snug Harbor Seafood, Stonebridge Bistro, Turks Seafood, Uncle Jon’s and Wok Magic.
Elaine Robertson chaired the Event Committee. Committee members included Patricia Capachoine, Betsy Dunn, Nancy Edwards, Karen Filman, Judy Galavotti, Eleanor Mower, and Kathy Taylor Roy.
“A Little Murder with Wine” netted just over $8,000, which will help provide membership and program scholarships to those in our community who cannot afford the YMCA experience on their own.
Sincerely,
Jo-Ann Watson
