Thanks to volunteers, businesses for help with Decas playground

Apr 23, 2012

To the Editor and all Wareham community members:

The John W. Decas Playground Committee and Decas PTA would like to thank everyone who participated in the community build of the playground for their time, resources, and dedication to complete this project in record time! We would also like to acknowledge and thank the generous donations and supplies that were provided for our school playground. This new playground would not have been possible without the many gifts

This Decas Playground support from the community and businesses will pay forward in the form of many years of fun and safe recreational activity -- not only for the students of the John W. Decas School, but for all of the children of Wareham.

We would like to specifically acknowledge the businesses that participated in providing their service, products, or both:

• Abbey Glass

• A.D. Makepeace

• Cosi

• CVS

• Janis Campagnone

• John Hogan

• JC Engineering

• Home Depot

• Lowes

• Melloni Foundation

• Mezzoli & Sons

• Parents and community donations

• Proteam Oil

• Santoro's Pizza and Subs

• Marchum Scott

• Shaws Market

• Stop & Shop

• United Way

• Christopher Uva

• All our wonderful volunteers

With the support of the community and through the generous contributions we have received, it was possible to meet our goal for the first phase of this project in building a safe and healthy playground environment that is inclusive and age-appropriate for the 700 students of John W. Decas Elementary School.

Very Truly Yours,

Jennifer MacKerron, Chair

John W. Decas Playground Committee
