'There will be cuts' says Selectmen chair
Dec 9, 2015
As Wareham enters another budget season, Selectmen Chair Patrick Tropeano said residents should know that "every year there's always less."
Tropeano said tax increases can't cover the increases in teacher contracts and other town department needs, but that has resulted in creative solutions.
"We're doing more with less," he said. "We're trying to share in order to save money."
Even so, with resources as they are, Tropeano said, "Going into this budget cycle there will be some more cuts."
He also said he does read all the comments sent to him by residents and acknowledged the importance of those requests.
