Redmen Hall at 745 Main Street will be hosting their monthly meat raffle Friday, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. The raffle is open to the public with stuffed chicken dinner for $10 served at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 8
Spread love with brunch
There will be more than just love in the air this Valentine's Day thanks to the Degree of Pocahontas and a brunch full of good eats.
The auxiliary will be hosting its annual Valentine brunch Sunday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those interested can enjoy good eats at Redman Hall, 745 Main Street.
All proceeds from the event will be used to provide college scholarships. The cost of tickets are $16 for adults and $10 for children.
The menu includes eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, pancakes, baked ham and beans, english muffins, toast, assorted homemade breads, assorted juices, coffee and a dessert. Raffles will be available during the event.

A lovely afternoon lunch
There’s nothing better than a lunch full of love.
Love is in the air at the Council on Aging as the organization prepares for a Valentines Lunch Tuesday, Feb. 10. The lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. and is being held at Warren’s Harborview Restaurant and Marina, 59 Main Street.
The menu includes chicken noodle soup, stuffed chicken breast, rigatoni bolognese, caesar salad, mashed potatoes, buttered corn and grape nut custard. Tickets go on sale Jan. 28 and cost $10 per person. Guests can enjoy music thanks to Angella Kronillis.

Follow the stars
Stargazing with the Onset Bay Center will be love at first sight.
The center will be hosting its annual Valentines Day stargazing event on Wickets Island Tuesday, Feb. 10 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Guests can take the short boat trip to get a 360° view from the top away from light pollution.
Celebrate the day of love by cozying up by the campfire and looking to the stars. Stargazing will be self-guided with an astronomy teacher . Lovebirds participating are advised to dress warmly, considering the weather and cooler temperatures out on the water. Blankets and towels are recommended for sitting.
Boats for the island are available every 20 to 30 minutes with guests advised to arrive five to 10 minutes before their selected time to make sure they are ready to board the boat.
The event is free but space is limited, guests must register at savebuzzardsbay.org. The rain date will be Wednesday, Feb. 11.
