This week’s schedule in Wareham has cultural events galore, with a “Sip and Support” fundraiser for the Gleason Family YMCA and multiple fairs to attend.

Thursday, Oct. 5

Support the YMCA
The Gleason Family YMCA will host a “Sip and Support” at 6 p.m. to fundraise for the organization’s Annual Campaign.
Tickets are $50 each and are available through the organization’s website. Visit https://ymcasouthcoast.org/locations/wareham/ and select the “Events” tab to get tickets now.

Friday, Oct. 6

Walk and recover
Richie’s Road to Recovery presents a free Recovery Walk and Talk, every Friday at 10 a.m.
To join the walks, meet at the Lyman Reserve, Head of the Bay Road, on the Plymouth/Bourne/Wareham town line, by the picnic tables in the dirt parking lot. Text Richie at 339-832-5387 with any questions.

Saturday, Oct. 7

Pick up a craft at a fall fair
The Swifts Beach Improvement Association is hosting its Fall Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It
will take place at the Clubhouse, located at 38 Pleasant Street.

Sunday, Oct. 8

A gathering of friends
The free family Best Friends Carnival will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 237 Sandwich Road. There will be food trucks, a petting zoo, carnival games and more.
