Third Annual Mini-Golf—Fore! For the Friends
Save the date! February 17 from 10 to 4 at the Wareham Free Library.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Wareham Free Library and its corporate partner A.D. Makepeace, this family fun event has been a great success for the past two years, and this third year will be bigger and better!!
The library will be turned into an eighteen-hole golf course with twists, turns, and obstacles galore. The holes and tees are sponsored by local businesses who decorate their holes. This year, the golfers will get to vote on the best decorated hole.
At the nineteenth hole (library meeting room), the Mini-Golf Raffle will take place with prizes donated by local businesses and non-profits. Gift certificates, craft items, gift baskets and an American Girl Doll are among some of the prizes this year. And the FacePainters will also join the fun at the nineteenth hole.
The entire proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to purchase books and materials to help meet the state requirements for library certification.
So mark your calendars and practice your swing! Practice holes have been set up at both the Main Library at 59 Marion Road and at the Spinney Memorial Branch Library in Onset, and everyone is welcome to stop in during library hours to practice their hole-in-one!
