Jun 10, 2020

Thomas Ellis Patnode, 56, of Onset, died June 7, 2020.

Wow, F.R.O., Pal…all words that you would normally hear out of the mouth of Thomas Ellis Patnode. Born in Plattsburgh, NY, on May 31, 1964, he was the son of Ellis and Elisa (Gallegos) Patnode. He attended Cumberland Head Elementary School and graduated in 1982 from Beekmantown Central High School. He attended Clinton Community College, earning an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in 1984.

He loved sports, and played baseball, football, soccer, and hockey through school. He played men’s league hockey, soccer and especially softball wherever he lived for the next 35 years, winning many championships. He loved his beloved Boston Red Sox and New York Giants and hated the New England Patriots with a passion. He enjoyed fishing, clamming, redhots, and Michigan sauce, which he made his sisters deliver to him whenever they visited from New York.

He worked his entire life as a salesperson, mostly with Nabisco and other food companies. His desire was always to live in Onset, MA; and when he met Pam, they moved there in 2001.

He is survived by his life partner and love of his life, Pam Clark; daughter Moriah (Jeremy) Haggett; grandsons Jonnah (finance Vivy) and Tyler Matthews; and his great grandson Max. He is also survived by his sisters Andrea LeClaire and Amy (Gary) Fessette; nieces Nicole (Damion), Melissa (Justin) Shari, and Erika (Kevin); great nieces Shailea (Matthew), Darian, Morgan, Lauren, Jordyn, Joella, and Braelynn; great nephew, Brycen; and great, great niece Azalea; as well as a huge extended family.

Tom passed away peacefully in Pam’s loving arms on June 7, 2020, after an incredible fight with tonsil cancer. Pam would like to thank all the staff at Beth Israel and Dana Farber for the loving care they provided Tom. A private family celebration will be held June 20th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dana Farber (they are currently doubling donations): https://danafarber.jimmyfund.org/site/SPageServer/?pagename=agda_danafarber_cancer_donation2&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=AGDA101419AA&s_src=AGDA101419AA&s_subsrc=AGDA101419AA&gclid=Cj0KCQjwiYL3BRDVARIsAF9E4GdMv4DcpXRJsp5N0dRySpOohoCCaPH321m6B73gCpZrFU7hsuqYC3gaApkHEALw_wcB
