Three men arrested in connection with Lindsey's robbery
Three men were arrested Saturday morning in connection with the Nov. 9 robbery of Lindsey's Restaurant, according to Wareham Police.
Eric Morrison, 27, of 107 Cohasset Road was arrested at 6:45 a.m. after police executed at search warrant at his home. Police said they found evidence of the crime outside Morrison's home and the result of the search led to the arrest of two other men connected to the crime.
According to Lindsey's management, two masked men dressed head to toe in black assaulted the night manager and made off with security cameras and "a substantial amount of money" from the safe shortly after 10 p.m., Sunday Nov. 9.
Police said Michael Fula, 30, also of 107 Cohasset Road was arrested at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Marion with the assistance of Marion Police.
David Reed, 27, of 60 Sandy Pond Road in Plymouth was arrested 9:50 a.m. for his involvement with the robbery.
Lindsey's owner Cheri Lindsey said Reed installed the security camera system in the restaurant four months ago and had been watching the inside of the restaurant to plan the crime.
"He was watching every move we made," Lindsey said. "We feel so victimized. How many others has he done this to?"
Lindsey said she was proud of her staff and very thankful for the work of the Wareham Police.
"The police worked day and night on this," she said.
All three men were charged with unarmed robbery, are being held with no bail at the Wareham Police Department and will be arraigned in Wareham District Court on Monday, Dec. 8, according to police.
Recounting the robbery shortly after its occurrence, Debi Lindsay, a manager and daughter of Cheri Lindsey, said the night manager couldn't see much, since the men rushed her from behind and pushed her head against the table.
The two men didn't appear to be armed.there were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery. The only employees were the one night manager and the bartender. Lindsey said the bartender was upstairs and went downstairs to the manager's office and asked the manager if she wanted company, which the manager declined.
Ten minutes later, two men dressed completely in black, including masks, sunglasses and gloves, rushed the manager inside the office.
Lindsey said at first the manager believed it was one of the employees playing a joke on her. Then one of the men threw her across the room and said, "This isn't a fu**ing joke." The men then made off with cameras and cash.
Lindsey's was offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the robbers.
Lindsey said that in the 66-year history of the restaurant they had only been robbed once before. She said that instance was just someone running up to the register, and nothing like the occurrence on Nov. 9.
