Tobey K. Alford, 14

WAREHAM – Tobey K. Alford, 14, of Wareham, died Monday, April 24, 2023 at Boston Children’s Hospital unexpectedly from injuries received in an accident.

Tobey was born on February 14, 2009 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham to Bonnie M. (Beaulieu) and Paul E. Alford of Wareham.  Tobey was currently an 8th grader at Wareham High School and planned to attend Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School next fall to begin his career path in becoming a landscaper.

He was a member of the Evangelical Zion Church in W. Wareham and help maintain the church grounds along with his father.  Tobey enjoyed working out at the YMCA in Wareham, listening to music and riding his bicycle.

Tobey recently started working at Shaw’s Supermarket with his enthusiastic, ecstatic smile.  He was an obedient and honorable “right hand man” to his father, always watching over his sister and taking the lead in chores at home.  Tobey had a natural intuition for the needs of his family helping his parents and siblings with strong loving heartfelt hugs.He was mom’s up and coming beautiful boy. 

Survivors include his mother and father, Bonnie and Paul Alford of Wareham; his brothers, Anthony E. Alford of Warwick, RI, Jeffrey J. Alford, Noah R. Alford, Peter B. Alford and Isaiah T. Alford all of Wareham; and his twin sister, Mary Jane Alford also of Wareham.  He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Donna Beaulieu of Acushnet; and his paternal grandparents, MadalenaFontes Alford and Edward S. Alford of Raynham.  Tobey was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, the late Edward J. Beaulieu.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., (Rt. 28), Wareham from 4 – 7 PM.  Funeral services on Tuesday will be private.
