Dec 17, 2019

Town Administrator Derek Sullivan was named a Hero for Health by Southcoast Health at the non-profit’s annual meeting.

Southcoast President and CEO Keith Hovan said that Sullivan has shown “tremendous foresight for the future of healthcare in Wareham and the surrounding region.”

“As Town Administrator, Derek has championed Southcoast Health and our mission — taking on social influencers of health such as access and homelessness, while fighting alongside regional leaders in the opioid crisis,” Hovan said. “He was also a great advocate for our expansion of our emergency department at Tobey.”

New Bedford Mayor Jon Mitchell was also named a Hero for Health.
