The town has been awarded $891,000 in loan forgiveness for infrastructure upgrades at the Wareham Water Pollution Control Facility.

The funds are from the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust. The trust is intended to help communities minimize the cost of water infrastructure renovations.

“Since its creation in 1989, the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust has been an indispensable financial resource for Massachusetts cities and towns supporting critical water infrastructure upgrades in our local communities,” said Senator Marc Pacheco. “I am grateful that the legislative effort to establish this innovative low-cost loan initiative continues to pay major dividends for local residents throughout the Commonwealth.”
