Town Meeting will vote on whether to establish a revolving fund of $100,000 per year to repair and maintain town-owned playgrounds.

Town Meeting will be held on Monday, April 24 at 7 p.m. at the “cafetorium” of Wareham Elementary School, 63 Minot Ave.

If the motion passes, $100,000 in funds not set aside for any other use will go into the playground revolving fund each fiscal year. Any grant or fundraising money for the playgrounds would also go into the revolving fund.

The money would be under the authority of the director of the Department of Municipal Maintenance.
