Track teams put on good show at states, Alley moves on to all-states

A Wareham High School track star is on her way to all-states, and the rest of the track teams put on a good show on Sunday, May 26, during the Division 3 state championship at Pembroke High School.

Senior Aliyah Alley came in second in both the 100m dash with a time of 12.74,  and the 200m dash with a time of 25.88.

Alley once again bested herself in the 200m, breaking her own school record in this event for the second time this year. Alley will advance to the all-state meet, which will be held Saturday, June 1, at Westfield State University.

Paige Fehskens finished the 800m with a time of 2:29.11, coming in 11th.  Her time makes her the second fastest freshman in Division 3 girls track, and one of the top 10 freshmen in the whole state.

Caitlyn Berger placed 17th in the discus, with a throw of 88' 4", and Wesley Fehskens placed 31st in the discus with a throw of 75' 10". Lexie Calvin placed  26th in the shot put, with a throw of 29' 1.5".

Emily Cummings competed  in the high jump, placing 9th with a 4'11" jump. Kate Cunningham placed 17th in the long jump with a jump of 15' 2.25".

Maddie St. Julien placed 13th in the 200m dash with a time of 28.10, and eighteenth in the triple jump with a jump of 31' 10.25".

The 4x100 relay team of Cummings, Hunter Thatcher, Maddie Koslowsky, and Cunningham placed 31st, with a time of 56.16, and the other 4x 00 relay team of Berger, Anna Richard, St. Julien, and Paige Fehskens placed 22nd with a time of 4:35.63.
