Transfer station fully operational following power outage

The transfer station is now fully operational after town-wide power outages closed the station Friday, Dec. 19.

Wareham Police Emergency Management Director Calib LaRue said Municipal Maintenance checked the station early Saturday, Dec. 20 to ensure it is functioning properly.

The power outage was caused by high winds that left nearly 2,000 households without power on Friday. Eversource is reporting nearly all power in Wareham has been restored.
