Truck pulled from water in East Wareham
Sep 6, 2016
Wareham Harbormaster officials, Wareham Police and Onset Firefighters helped fish out a pickup truck that became completely submerged in the Cohasset Narrows on Tuesday afternoon.
First responders arrived at a boat launch near 3173 Cranberry Highway, just before the Bourne line, at approximately 11:30 a.m. where a red Chevrolet Silverado with a trailer attached had gone underwater.
According to initial emergency broadcasts, the driver escaped the truck and was not injured.
Divers from the Onset Fire Department entered the water to help extract the vehicle, which was towed out using a cable and winch attached to a Harbormaster pickup truck.
It’s unclear at this time how the truck became submerged.
