Two arrested on heroin trafficking charges

Two New Bedford men have been arrested for distributing heroin in the Wareham area, according to the Wareham Police Department.

The police said they approached 33-year-old Hector Montilla-Segura, and his passenger, 27-year-old Gilberto Baret-Ramirez in the parking lot of 5 Guys Burgers and Fries Restaurant at the Rosebrook Business Park on March 2, after getting information about the activities of the two men.

During the search of the 2003 BMW, detectives found about 110 grams of heroin. Both men were arrested without incident, police said.

Both Montilla-Segura and Baret-Ramirez were charged with trafficking heroin over 100 grams, and have pending court dates, following their arraignment at the Wareham District Court.
