The New Bedford Earth Day 50th Anniversary Committee has given two grants to local environmental groups, totaling $1,650. 

The “Every Day is Earth Day” grants were given to nine environmental groups in the greater New Bedford area. 

The Onset Bay Association received $650 in support of its Earth Day volunteer cleanup, held on Saturday, April 22.

Climate Reality Massachusetts Southcoast, an organization based in Westport and Wareham, received $1,000 for climate change education, advocacy and cleanup efforts.
