Two locals arrested for drug-related offenses
Two Wareham residents were among drug-related arrests made by the Wareham Police Criminal Investigation Division Friday, July 7, according to the Wareham Police Department.
The division, working alongside patrol officers, served four narcotic-related search warrants, which resulted in three arrests and the seizure of quantities of suspected Fentanyl, Cocaine, Gabapentin, Clonidine, drug related paraphernalia and U.S. currency.
Marisol Lugo, 45, of Wareham, was charged with operating a vehicle after receiving a driver’s license suspension, distribution of Class B substances, and possession of Class E drugs.
Jaquelyn Lima, 40, of New Bedford, was charged with possession of Class B and Class A substances.
Alexander Lugo, 41, of Wareham, was charged with possession with intent to distribute Class A substances, which is a subsequent offense, and with possession of Class C drugs.
All three individuals were arraigned at the Wareham Fourth District Court.
According to the department’s press release, Chief Walter Correia praised the Wareham Police Criminal Investigation Division and the officers involved in the investigation for taking potential lethal drugs off the streets of Wareham.
