Two October book clubs
The Wareham Free Library will hold two virtual book clubs during the month of October.
On Thursday, October 15 at 6 p.m., Reference Librarian Steven Miller will host an online discussion of The Library Book by Susan Orlean. Orlean’s bestselling non-fiction book details how the Los Angeles Public Library rebuilt itself following a devastating fire in April of 1986.
For Halloween, Library Director George Ripley will be leading a discussion of Bram Stoker’s immortal classic Dracula, first published in 1897. This virtual meeting will take place on Thursday, October 28 at 6 p.m.
Those interested in participating in either discussion can borrow copies in multiple formats from the circulation desk of the Main Library. A digital copy of Dracula is available for download at https://bit.ly/3ipqlod.
There is no cost to participate in either event.
For more information about the virtual book club, contact smiller@sailsinc.org or at (508) 295-2343, ext. 1012. To learn more about the discussion of Dracula, Ripley can be reached at ext. 1013 and at gripley@sailsinc.org.
