Two men suspected of breaking and entering into an Onset home and stealing more than $1,200 worth of property have been taken into custody by Wareham Police.

John Lyons, 43, East Wareham was arrested by Wareham Police Detectives on Wednesday, Feb. 6, following a traffic stop on Cranberry Highway.

A second suspect, Robert Cardoza, 48, also of East Wareham, was arrested the following day at an address he reportedly shared with Lyons on Jefferson Shores Road.

According to reports, the first break-in occurred on Saturday, Feb. 2, at a home on Onset Avenue which was under construction.

Police said multiple items were stolen, and on Wednesday, Feb. 6, officers responded to the same address for a second break-in with more items missing.

Wareham Police Detectives executing a search warrant for Cardoza said they found several of the stolen items at his home, including items stolen from another recent break-in in Bourne.

While the investigation is still ongoing, police said both suspects were charged with receiving stolen property over $1,200. More charges may be filed a later date.
