Sep 6, 2016

First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union has announced the recipients of its 24th Annual Academic Scholarship Program. A $1,000 scholarship was awarded to 14 high school students from its branch communities across the Southcoast and Cape Cod, including two Wareham students.

Wareham winners are Tyler Gentry and Robert Giannelli.

Each scholarship is awarded to deserving students every year who demonstrated a high level of academic excellence, leadership, and service to their community. In addition to the nine general scholarships, one scholarship, in honor of Barbara Whitehead Silva, former President and CEO of the credit union, is awarded.

The remaining four scholarships are the Champion Family Scholarship. The Champion Account is designed to recognize teachers, EMT, police, firefighters and healthcare professionals for their outstanding service to our communities. The four scholarships are awarded exclusively to the immediate family of these members.
