Buzzards Play Productions and Wareham Community Television’s next "Applause for a Cause" event will be called "Peace for Animals."

The event, which in the past has provided entertainment both on WCTV and live at Buzzards Play Productions in order to raise funds for local causes, will take place March 6 at 7 p.m.

Proceeds from this event will go to Peace for Animals, an Earth Lodge service project that rescues animals and helps secure foster homes until the animals find permanent homes.

Earth Lodge is a 501c3 non-profit located in Wareham with foster farm and family homes on the Cape and in Plymouth County.

Doors open at 6:30 with entertainment from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Given the Cause, this Applause will feature animals as well as the talented lineup of performers. The event is free, but donations are accepted at the venue. Refreshments and a cash bar will be available.

WCTV will broadcast the event live on on Channel 30 on Verizon, Channel 9 on Comcast. It will also be streaming at www.warehamtv.org.
