Upcoming events at the Council on Aging

The Council on Aging will host several events in the coming months, starting with a seminar with local orthopedic surgeon Dr. Christian Dee, who will be at the Council on Aging in the Multi-Service Center, 48 Marion Road, on Monday, May 12, with suggestions for surgical and non-surgical alternatives to joint problems.

The program runs from 10 to 11 a.m. and light refreshments will be served. The seminar is free and open to all at the COA. Attendees needn't be a senior to participate.

A special lunch on May 19 at the Multi-Service Center will feature roast beef au jus with potatoes au gratin and green beans almondine. A $2.50 donation is suggested for lunch.

A spring-summer fashion show by Gallery Consignment on Main Street is included. The event is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please reserve with Cheryl by May 15 at (508) 291-3100 ext 6514.

A Father's Day lunch will be held on June 9. Hamburgers au jus will be served with lettuce, tomato and cheese, potato chips, spinach/mandarin orange salad and vanilla pudding for dessert. A $2.50 donation is suggested for lunch. Entertainment will be by DJ Lady K. Reserve with Cheryl at least four days in advance at (508) 291-3100 ext 6514.
