Valerie Anne Yancey, 61, of East Wareham, passed away Feb. 7 at Tobey Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Herbert W. Yancey of Wareham and the daughter of the late Domingo G. and Anna S. (Garcia) Teixeira.

She is also survived by her son Jacey Yancey of Wareham and her siblings Billy Garcia of Marion, Sharon Espejo of Marion and Carlton Teixeira of New Bedford. She was the grandmother of Tieyanna and Monique Yancey and she was also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
