After several postponed games due to rainy weather, the Wareham High School varsity baseball team defeated Westwood 3-1 at home in the first round of playoff games on Tuesday.

Ian Searles, who will attend Southern New Hampshire University in the fall, pitched all seven innings.

The Vikings will take on Middleboro in the quarter-finals tonight, June 6, at 4 p.m. on Spillane Field.
