Applications are now available for the Mary V. Rose Scholarship, which is awarded annually by the Oak Grove Cape Verdean Cultural Center, Inc.

The Center’s Scholarship Committee is awarding two $500 scholarships to Wareham residents who have been accepted to or are enrolled in an accredited post-secondary school.

Applications are available at the Wareham High School guidance office and must be submitted by Tuesday, April 25.

Mary V. Rose, who died in 2020 at the age of 105, was one of the founding members of the organization. She was well known for love of her community and her passion and devotion to assisting those in need.
