Wareham Fire District Clerk/Treasurer Marybeth Fernandes will appear in Wareham District Court for a pretrial hearing on November 8 to respond to charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Fernandes, 57, of Oak Street was allegedly driving under the influence at approximately 9:40 p.m. on October 8 when she collided with a parked vehicle on Oak Street, according to the October 8 Wareham Police log.

Fernandes was arraigned in Wareham District Court on October 11, according to the court's Clerk Magistrate's office.

The Clerk/Treasurer, who has worked for the District for a decade, was elected in April 2010 after running unopposed for the clerk and treasurer positions.
