The Wareham Fire Department responded to seven brush fires on the highway Wednesday night.

The fires were reported at around 5:45 p.m. on Route 25 westbound and near exit 2. Some fires were 10 feet wide, according to emergency broadcasts.

The cause of the fires is still unknown. Additional information is unavailable at this time.
