Wareham Girl Scouts are inviting the public to learn more about the group on Monday, Sept. 17, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Decas Elementary School Cafeteria, 760 Main St.

At this free event, visitors will learn how girls in grades kindergarten through 12th can earn badges pursuing interests such as space science, environmental advocacy, and more, bond with new friends, become a cookie entrepreneur, enjoy the outdoors, help their community, and much more. On Sept. 17, girls may sit in on a sample troop meeting, learn the Girl Scout Promise, meet other local girls and create their own craft. Membership is $40 annually (financial aid is available). Adult volunteers are always encouraged to help with the troop. For more information, visit gsema.org/join and click “join now” to register and find a troop.
