Wareham High School sports round up
Boys Varsity Basketball
The boys varsity basketball team split their games this week, suffering a loss on the road to Seekonk (78-53), but bouncing back to defeat and Fairhaven (54-35) at Fairhaven. The loss and victory put the the boys season record to 4 wins against 6 losses.
The boys continue to play away from home this week when they play at Bourne High School on January 15 at 6:30. The Canalmen held off the Vikings, 66-62, when they played earlier in the season at Wareham.
Girls Varsity Basketball
The girls varsity basketball team lost to Seekonk in Wareham on January 8, 40-33, but was able to earn a solid victory at home against Fairhaven on Tuesday, 39-28. The win pushed their season record to 4 wins against 5 losses.
The girls will play again at 6:30 on Friday, January 15 at home, when they try to avenge an earlier 68-52 loss at Bourne.
Boys Varsity Hockey (Wareham/Carver)
The Wareham/Caver boys hockey team came away with two victories this week, beating Apponequet 7-6, and then soundly thumping New Bedford, 12-1.
The hockey team looks to continue their winning ways when the play Cape Cod Regional Tech at Gallo Arena on January 16 at 8:00 PM.
