Wareham Library Foundation seeks to ‘bridge’ funding gap
The Wareham Library Foundation is kicking off its annual “Bridge the Gap” campaign to raise 20% of the operating costs of running the Wareham town library.
The foundation has a goal to reach $80,000 by the end of June, before the next fiscal year begins.
According to the Wareham Library Foundation, these funds are important to ensure that the library keeps its certification, and can participate in interlibrary loans, which allows Wareham residents to borrow materials that are not part of the Wareham Free Library’s collection from other libraries.
In the past, the Foundation has helped fund staff salaries, utilities costs, new computers, and updated kitchen areas.
To donate to the foundation, go to www.supportwarehamlibrary.org, bring a check to the library, or mail a check to the Wareham Library Foundation, P.O. Box 485, East Wareham, MA 02538.
