Wareham man charged following Onset bar stabbing

A Wareham man was arrested in connection with a stabbing inside of a bar in Onset Tuesday, Feb. 2. The Wareham Police Department responded to a disturbance at Steven's Lounge, 201 Onset Avenue, at approximately 12:38 a.m. on Tuesday. Officers arrived on scene and discovered large amounts of blood and a male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers identified the suspect as 27-year old Wareham resident, Alexx Rezendes. Rezendes was arrested at his home at 4:36 p.m. Tuesday with no incident. Rezendes, was charged with Assault to Murder, Assault and Battery Dangerous Weapon and is being held on $10,000.00 cash bail. He was arraigned at the Wareham District Court, Wednesday February 3, 2026. The victim was transported to St. Luke's in New Bedford, with current conditions unknown at this time.
