Wareham Middle School's Peace Team has completed its first year.
The Peace Team is a group of 12 seventh-grade students in the Franklin House of Wareham Middle School who work together on art projects centered on the theme of "Peace and Peacebuilders." The team displays its artwork throughout the school in an effort to spread peace.
"We stick together and help out and give support," said Peace Team member Adrianna Burgess. "Everybody has peace in them, they just need to let it show."
The team was started by school psychologist Kathy Lyons in the fall of 2011, with the help of funds provided by a grant from the Wareham Foundation for Education.
