Charles C. White, M.D. will retire from practicing ophthalmology in Wareham on Dec. 31 after a 34-year career.

White expressed his heartfelt appreciation and thanks to all of his patients and their families who have allowed him to serve as their ophthalmologist. White is encouraging his patients to seek their ophthalmological care with Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston in Wareham at 12 Rosebrook Way.

White and staff said they would provide more information on the transition to patients via mail. They also offered all best wishes this holiday season.
