Wareham Police confiscated marijuana, a digital scale and $1,353 cash when two Taunton men were arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 19, after officers received tips about a reported drug house.

Keven Andrade, 21, and Ryan Rocha, 24, were both charged with charged with possession with intent to distribute a class “D” drug, marijuana. While marijuana is legal to possess, consume and grow in Massachusetts, it is illegal for individuals to possess more than 1 ounce of the plant. Police did not reveal how much marijuana was confiscated. The address of the house was also not released.

According to police, the house was under surveillance when Andrade and Rocha were engaged in activity consistent with dealing drugs. A detective then followed the two men in their car before stopping them around 11:30 a.m. on Cranberry Highway near the police station.

A search uncovered the marijuana, scale and cash, police said. Assisting the detective in the arrest were Acting Sergeant Kevin Reilly, Officer John Iacobucci and Acting Chief John Walcek.
