The Wareham Police Association presented a check for $5,000 to Cops for Kids with Cancer.

Wareham Police Association President Calib LaRue and Vice President Lorenzo Grosso granted the check to Board Member Tom Reed on Nov. 16.

The $5000 amount was raised at the fourth annual Wareham Police Association Golf Tournament, held at Little Harbor Country Club on Oct. 8.

Cops for Kids with Cancer is an organization dedicated to helping families of children with cancer with medical expenses, granting $5,000 per family.

The organization has supported 762 New England families.

The Police Association thanked the tournament sponsors and players for their help.

“Our goal is to cover one child a year,” said LaRue.
