Authorities say that man with two arrest warrants attempted to jump off a balcony in order to avoid being taken into custody on Wednesday, Nov. 28.

Officers Christopher Corner, Ryan Turner, and Justin Silveira were attempting to serve the two warrants to David Dankers, 32, of Wareham at 44 Sunset Blvd. around 6:30 a.m. when the incident occurred.

Upon arriving at the address, Officers Corner and Turner reportedly entered the home through the front door with Officer Silveira waiting outside.

As the two officers climbed the stairs inside the home, Dankers allegedly attempted to jump off an upstairs balcony. Officer Silveira ordered Dankers back inside where he was arrested by Officers Corner and Turner .

Dankers was then brought to the Wareham Police Station and held without bail while awaiting transport to Wareham District Court.
