During Wednesday's School Committee meeting, Superintendent Dr. Kimberly Shaver-Hood reported the enrollments at Wareham Public Schools ahead of the first day of classes, set for Wednesday, Aug. 29.

At Wareham High School, 636 students are enrolled with an average class size of 24 for regular education courses and 17 for elective courses.

At Wareham Middle School, a total of 525 students are enrolled with average class sizes of 21.7, 20.9 and 18.8 for fifth, sixth and seventh grades, respectively.

Decas Elementary enrollment is 615. Shaver-Hood didn’t report an average class size,but noted that classes hold roughly 21 students.

Minot Forest School enrollment is 370 with class sizes ranging from 19 to 24 students, reported Shaver-Hood.
