Wareham students writing (computer) code

Dec 28, 2013

Computer Science Education Week was earlier this month, and Wareham Public Schools teachers joined the Code.org movement to get students involved in computer science and writing comupter code.

Through free-of-charge tutorials provided by Code.org, even students in elementary school have participated in the organization's Hour of Code -- an hour during which students solely focus on learning about computer code.

Some Wareham classrooms used an iPad app in which they learned how to make a game with code. Others used programs available for desktop computers.
