Wareham Village Association plans Halloween festivities

Oct 4, 2021

The Wareham Village Association will host two of its most popular events this October: trick or treating along Main Street and the annual scarecrow contest.

The scarecrow contest will occur from Oct. 22 through Oct. 31, with judging taking place the weekend of Oct. 31.

“Create your own scarecrow and be a part of the fall festivities along Main Street and Onset Avenue,” reads the association’s event website. “Register your scarecrow today so you are included in the judging.”

The Onset Bay Association Beautification Committee and the Wareham Garden Club are responsible for judging the contest.

The association’s trick or treat on Main Street event will be held on Friday, Oct. 29 from 3 to 5 p.m.

“Bring your little ghosts and goblins to Main Street [...] businesses for a safe and fun alternative to neighborhood trick-or-treating,” reads the Wareham Village Association’s event website. “We recommend that you make Eastern Bank your first stop then make a full loop of participating businesses.”
