Friday, June 8
"Cinderella! Cinderella!"
Tina Telli Productions and Buzzards Bay Productions present, "Cinderella! Cinderella!" at 7:30 p.m. at Buzzards Play Productions, 3065 Cranberry Highway.
Performed by South Coast third-, fourth-, and fifth-graders, including Wareham residents Chase Boudria, 9, as the Old Lady and Samantha Hunt, 9, as Crudella, the comedy features a plain-looking Cinderella with awkwardly large feat who vies for the attention of the prince with her beautiful, but mean-spirited stepsisters.
Saturday, June 9
Kayak Poker Run
The Onset Bay Association will host its annual Kayak Poker Run and Cape Cod Kayak Show at Shell Point in Onset. Registration begins at 9 a.m. for the 10 a.m. launch.
The best hand wins in the event, which will have participants paddling around Onset Harbor to collect cards from various locations. An easy paddle makes the Kayak Poker Run a fun event for all ages and abilities.
The entry fee is $25. Prizes will be awarded. Proceeds from the event help the Onset Bay Association pay for community activities.
24 Hour Ballgame
Wareham Little League will host its second annual 24 Hour Ballgame at the Little League Complex off of Charge Pond Road beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday and ending at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
The event is a fundraiser for the league. Planned activities include a dunk tank, an inflatable kiddie playground, inflatable jousting, a bungee run, face painting, carnival games, basket raffles, a "fastest pitch" contest, a base-running contest, a home run derby, a "perfect pitch" contest, a chance to win $500, and a family sleepover on the field.
Sifu's Kung Fu Gymnastics Tournament
Help alleviate hunger while watching area Kung Fu students show off their stuff. The tournament will feature board-breaking, freestyle Kung Fu, and gymnastics.
The tournament begins at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church Fellowship Hall, located at 11 Gibbs Ave.
Admission is $2.50 with a nonperishable food item, which will be donated to Damien's Place in East Wareham, or $3.50 without a donation.
The family-friendly event will also offer a 50/50 raffle, face painting, and food.

Sunday, June 10
Walk-a-thon for Youth
The Kiwanis Club of Bourne and Wareham and the Onset Youth Center are teaming up to hold the first ever Walk-a-thon for Youth, scheduled for Sunday, June 10, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The walk will be a total of 4 miles on the banks of the Cape Cod Canal. The Walk-a-thon will start at the parking lot near the railroad bridge.
There is a $5 registration fee to cover the cost of purchasing T-shirts. There will be $100, $50, and $25 Visa gift card prizes for the top three fund-raisers. All proceeds will benefit the Service Leadership Programs in both the Bourne and Wareham school systems as well as the Onset Youth Center.
The event will feature entertainment by the jazz band Bone Dogs, family activities, and food vendors. Participants may begin the walk at any time during the event.
