Hailey's Ride

The first ever Hailey's Ride, a motorcycle run, begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Blue Lantern in Acushnet and finishes at the Wareham Elks Lodge at approximately 1 p.m.

The ride is in memory of Wareham resident Hailey Pease, who lost her battle with cancer in 2011. Hailey's mother, Shannon Maxim, is working to establish a nonprofit to help families who have lost a child. The event will benefit the organization, called Hailey's Helping Hands.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Blue Lantern. A party at the Elks will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will feature live music with Wareham’s Whiskey Throttle, food, and raffles.

The cost is $15 for riders, passengers, and non-riders who just want to join the fun.

Pan-Mass Challenge

Look for hundreds of cyclists rolling through town throughout the day on Saturday as the Pan-Mass Challenge supports the fight against cancer.

Bicyclists will be making their way to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. The route enters Wareham at County Road and heads down Main Street, Minot Avenue, and Onset Avenue.

Be sure to cheer the cyclists on!
