The Wareham Youth Soccer Club kicked off its season on Saturday, Sept. 12. The younger teams played each other at the start. As the morning went on, older players hit the pitch. A team of older boys closed out by facing Mashpee.
The players were excited to start playing again -- or play for the first time.
Grace Pacheco, 10, scored her first ever goal on Saturday, and carried herself as if she'd been there before.
When asked how it felt to score for the first time, she unequivocally said: "It felt good."
