Wareham Youth Soccer Club offers winter training program

Dec 5, 2011

Wareham High School's Boys' Varsity Soccer Coach James Felix will lead a winter soccer training program for children and teenagers, ages 5 to 18, through the Wareham Youth Soccer Club on Saturdays from December to March at the Wareham High School gym.

Classes are divided by age, with 5- to 8-year-olds meeting at 9 a.m., 9- to 12-year-olds meeting at 10 a.m. and 13- to 18-year-olds meeting at 11 a.m.

Participants should come dressed for soccer—including socks, shin pads, shorts, jersey and sneakers—and bring their own ball and water. No cleats are allowed.

Individual sessions cost $10, while all sessions cost $80. All checks should be made payable to the WYSC (Wareham Youth Soccer Club) and participants currently not registered with the club will need to pay a one-time $11 insurance fee.

The first class met on December 3, but there is still time to sign up for the remaining sessions. For more information visit www.warehamsoccer.com or contact Wareham Youth Soccer Club President Paul Neely via email at sailor99@comcast.net
