Watch interviews, ask questions of superintendent finalists on Monday
The School Committee will interview the finalists for superintendent on Monday, May 6, at 6 p.m. in the Wareham Middle School auditorium.
Wareham Community Television will broadcast the meeting live on Verizon channel 28 and Comcast channel 97, and online at warehamtv.org.
Wareham Week will feature WCTV's live online stream in a WarehamVillageSoup.com reader discussion. Online members are invited to watch and post comments with questions for the candidates.
If time permits, School Committee Chair Rhonda Veugen will choose questions from the community to ask of the candidates.
“Community participation is an invaluable part of this process," she said. "Even if questions cannot be asked during the live interview, each comment will be reviewed and shared with the School Committee to provide additional input into our decision."
Each interview will take approximately one hour, Veugen said, noting that she anticipated that there would be no more than three finalists.
The finalists will be chosen during executive session, which is not public, on May 4. These interviews will be conducted by the School Committee and an interview committee comprised of parents, Wareham Public Schools staff, community and business leaders, the town administrator, and representatives of the Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee.
